# Claude desktop and web

> Add Sevalla as a custom connector in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile, sign in with your Sevalla account, turn it on in a chat, and remove it.

Claude on the web, in the desktop app and in the mobile apps connects to the [Sevalla MCP server](/ai-agents/overview) as a custom connector. You add the connector once to your Claude account, and it's available in every Claude app where you're signed in.

## Before you begin

* A Sevalla account and a company to work in.
* A Claude account. Custom connectors are available on every Claude plan; the Free plan allows one.
* On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector for the organization (see [Add the server for an organization](#add-the-server-for-an-organization)).

## Add the server

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the connectors">
    In Claude, go to **Customize** > **Connectors**, click **+ Add**, then click **Add custom connector**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add Sevalla">
    Enter `Sevalla` as the name and `https://mcp.sevalla.com/mcp` as the URL, then continue. Keep the authentication settings Claude detects for the server (OAuth sign-in), and click **Add**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in">
    Connect the connector when Claude asks. Your browser opens the Sevalla dashboard: pick the company and the permissions, then click **Authorize** ([what each choice means](/ai-agents/overview#sign-in-with-oauth)).
  </Step>
</Steps>

### Add the server for an organization

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner (or a role with access to manage connectors) goes to **Organization settings** > **Connectors**, clicks **Add**, hovers over **Custom**, selects **Web**, and enters the same name and URL. Each member then opens **Customize** > **Connectors**, finds **Sevalla** and clicks **Connect**, which starts their own Sevalla sign-in. Every member authorizes their own Sevalla company and permissions.

## Check the connection

In a chat, click **+** at the lower left, choose **Connectors**, and turn on **Sevalla**. Ask "List my Sevalla services" to make a first call. Claude reads each tool's [annotations](/ai-agents/overview#annotations) to decide which calls need your approval.

## Use an API key instead

This page connects Claude with OAuth sign-in. To use an [API key](/developer-tools/api-keys) instead, for example in scripts or CI, connect [Claude Code](/ai-agents/claude-code#use-an-api-key-instead) with the key in a header.

## Remove the server

Go to **Customize** > **Connectors**, click the three dots next to **Sevalla** and remove it. On Team and Enterprise plans, owners remove organization connectors in **Organization settings** > **Connectors**.

Removing the connector doesn't delete the API key that sign-in created. To revoke it, [delete the key](/developer-tools/api-keys#delete-an-api-key) under **Tools** > **API keys**.

Claude's own steps can change: see [custom connectors in the Claude Help Center](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/11175166-get-started-with-custom-connectors-using-remote-mcp).
