Get Started
You can use Sevalla to host your database and connect it directly to your application. We currently offer the following database types to fulfill various data storage needs:
- Redis 5.0, 6.x and 7.x
- MariaDB 10.4, 10.5, 10.6, 11.0 and 11.1
- PostgreSQL 9.6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16
- MySQL 8.0
- Valkey 7.2
You can connect a database to one or more applications or run a database by itself. If you create an internal connection between an application and a database at Sevalla, they communicate through a secure connection that performs better than an external connection. There’s no charge for internal traffic between applications and databases hosted at Sevalla.
It’s also possible to utilize a Dockerfile and persistent storage to deploy other types of databases on Application Hosting.

Database backups
We provide automatic daily backups for Database Hosting that are stored for 7 days. You can also manually create up to 5 manual backups, which are stored for 14 days. You can restore either an automatic or manual backup at any time on your database’s Backups page.
When a database backup is restored, all changes to the database will be rolled back to the time the backup was created.
