The Django guides take a Django 6.1 project from your computer to a running Sevalla application, which Ingot builds from your repository with no build configuration, or which builds from your own Dockerfile, then add one capability each. Start with the deploy guide: the others build on the project it creates.

Deploy Django

Gunicorn, WhiteNoise, a PostgreSQL database and migrations in a job, built by Ingot or a Dockerfile.

Object storage

Store media uploads, and optionally static files, in a bucket with django-storages.

Caching

Cache views in a Redis database, and control the CDN and edge cache.

Async

Serve async views with Uvicorn over ASGI.

Background tasks

Run Celery in a background worker and scheduled commands in a cron job.

Health checks

Readiness and liveness endpoints for zero-downtime deployments.

Multitenancy

One schema per tenant with django-tenants, on subdomains of a wildcard domain.
