Cursor connects to the Sevalla MCP server at https://mcp.sevalla.com/mcp as a remote server. Once connected, Cursor’s agent can deploy, read logs and metrics, and manage your Sevalla services.

Before you begin

  • A Sevalla account and a company to work in.
  • Cursor installed. See the Cursor MCP docs for its own options.

Add the server

1

Add Sevalla

Open this install link with Cursor running: Add Sevalla to Cursor, and confirm the install in Cursor.Or add the server by hand to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (all projects) or .cursor/mcp.json in a project (that project only):
~/.cursor/mcp.json
2

When Cursor asks you to sign in to sevalla, continue. Your browser opens the Sevalla dashboard: pick the company and the permissions, then click Authorize (what each choice means).

Check the connection

In Cursor, open Customize in the sidebar: sevalla is listed and turned on, with its tools. Ask the agent “List my Sevalla services”.

Use an API key instead

To skip OAuth, send an API key in a header. ${env:SEVALLA_API_KEY} reads the key from an environment variable, so mcp.json holds no secret:
~/.cursor/mcp.json
Set SEVALLA_API_KEY in the environment Cursor starts from, then restart Cursor.

Remove the server

Remove sevalla in Customize, or delete the sevalla entry from ~/.cursor/mcp.json or .cursor/mcp.json. To keep the server but stop the agent from using it, turn it off in Customize instead. Removing the server doesn’t delete the API key that sign-in created. To revoke it, delete the key under Tools > API keys.
